The Lakeview Rotary’s Wild Goose Chase brought forth a goodly helping of ticket-buying participants, all eager for a shot at a number of prizes provided and/or co-sponsored by local merchants. At the conclusion of the race, it was Penny Dillavou who walked away with the top prize — $10,000 Lakeview business gift certificate. JeiJei Estes won the 2008 Arctic Cat 366 4x4 ATV, co-sponsored by the Rotary and Ag&Auto, Inc, while Dennis Flynn won the second corporate prize, a 61” Samsung LCD television set, co-sponsored by Flynn’s Radio Shack and the Rotary.
Other highlights include a $2,000 cruise package, won by Tristy Dufault, and the $1,000 Lumbermens/ProBuild gift certificate, which was won by David Heath.
Additional winners included: Bob Briggs ($500 Warner Mtn. Auto Parts certificate), Judy Graham ($500 True Value certificate), Mike Sabin ($500 Safeway certificate), Dennis Lane ($500 Ed Staub & Sons, Inc., certificate), JASCO ($200 Les Schwab certificate), Doug Tatro, Arrow Realty, Lane Simpson, Tanya Clayborn and Durell Williams ($100 Stewart’s Marketeria certificate each).
