On Tuesday, July 30, Timothy Scott Johnson was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on three counts. Count one was for assaulting a public safety officer. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about July 8, 2019 in Lake County, Oregon, when the defendant did unlawfully and intentionally cause physical injury to Luke W. Campbell, a person the defendant knew to be a peace officer, while Luke Campbell was acting in the course of official duty. Count two was for assault in the fourth degree. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about July 8, 2019 in Lake County Oregon, when the defendant did unlawfully and recklessly cause physical injury to Luke W. Campbell. Count three was for resisting arrest. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about July 8, 2019 in Lake County Oregon, when the defendant did unlawfully and intentionally resist Deputy Luke Campbell, a person known to the defendant to be a peace officer, in making an arrest. 

 

On Tuesday, July 30, Gary Allen Starkweather was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on three counts. Count one was for unlawfully exporting marijuana items. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about June 28, 2019, in Lake County, Oregon when the defendant did unlawfully and knowingly export marijuana items, to wit: usable marijuana, from this state. The state further alleges that the offense concerns an amount of marijuana items that exceeds 16 times eight ounces of usable marijuana. Count two was for unlawful delivery of a marijuana item. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about June 28, 2019, in Lake County, Oregon, when the defendant did unlawfully and knowingly deliver marijuana items, to wit: usable marijuana. The state further alleges that the amount possessed was greater than 16 times eight ounces of usable marijuana. Count three was for unlawful possession of marijuana by a person 21 years of age or older. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about June 28, 2019, in Lake County, Oregon, while being 21 years of age or older, did unlawfully and knowingly possess more than eight ounces of usable marijuana. The state further alleges that the amount possessed was greater than 16 times eight ounces of usable marijuana. 

 

On Tuesday, July 30, Darek Thomas Bray was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on one count. Count one was for assault in the third degree. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about March 12, 2019 in Lake County, when the defendant being at least 18-years-old did unlawfully and intentionally cause physical injury to a child 10-years-old or younger. 

 

On Tuesday, July 30, Talon Daniel Arnold was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on one count. Count one was for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about July 15, 2019 in Lake County, when the defendant did unlawfully and knowingly possess a usable quantity of methamphetamine and at the time of possession, the defendant had a prior felony conviction, to wit: convicted on Dec. 23, 2016 in Deschutes County Circuit Court on two counts of identify theft. 

 

On Tuesday, July 30, Carey Lynett Everitt was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on one count. Count one was for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about July 15, 2019 in Lake County, when the defendant did unlawfully and knowingly possess a usable quantity of methamphetamine and at the time of possession, the defendant had a prior felony conviction, to wit: convicted on Jan. 26, 2005 in Ada County Fourth District Court, Idaho. 

 

On Tuesday, Aug. 13, Marley Jean Pettit was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on three counts. Count one was for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 5, 2019 in Lake County, Oregon when the defendant did unlawfully and knowingly possess two grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. Count two was for unlawful possession of heroin. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 5, 2019 in Lake County, Oregon when the defendant did unlawfully and knowingly possess heroin. Count three was for giving false information to a peace officer. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 5, 2019 in Lake County, Oregon when the defendant did unlawfully and knowingly use or give to a peace officer a false or fictitious name for the purpose of the officer’s arresting defendant on a warrant. 

 

On Tuesday, Aug. 13, Levi Jacob Garrison was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on four counts. Count one was for felon in possession of a firearm. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 5, 2019 in Lake County, Oregon when the defendant having previously been convicted in Klamath County on June 3, 2013 for a felony of unlawful use of a weapon, did unlawfully and knowingly have in said defendant’s possession, custody or control a firearm. Count two was for supplying contraband. The charge stems from an incident on or about Aug. 5 in Lake County, when the defendant did unlawfully and knowingly introduce methamphetamine, contraband into Lake County jail. Count three was unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 5 in Lake County when the defendant did unlawfully and knowingly possess two grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. Count four was for giving false information to a peace officer. The charge stemmed from an incident on or about Aug. 5 in Lake County when the defendant did unlawfully and knowingly use or give to a peace officer a false or fictitious name for the purpose of the officer’s arresting defendant on a warrant.
