Monday, March 16 – OSP responded to an accident on Hwy 140 at milepost 46.5. The driver Christopher Hammerling, Orlando, Fla., lost control of his vehicle and slid onto the rock shoulder. Hammerling continued to drive the vehicle until it became inoperable. Hammerling was in an area that had no cell service and had to wait for around five hours until OSP could be notified. No injuries were reported and Don Deiters Towing towed the black Audi AS8 away from the scene.

Tuesday, March 17 – OSP ran an RO check on a vehicle being driven by Thomas Lee Havel, Lakeview, which showed a Driving With a Suspended License-Felony (DWS-Felony). OSP made contact with Havel in the Safeway parking lot and cited the him for DWS-Felony in lieu of custody.

Tuesday, March 17 – OSP attempted to stop a vehicle being driven by Alan Wade Owen for a traffic violation at N. G St., the suspect fled and OSP did not pursue. OSP found the vehicle abandoned in the driveway and the Owen was located inside the residence when he attempted to escape, and assault a police officer. Owen was arrested and lodged at the Lake County Jail.

Thursday, March 19 – OSP responded to about property being stolen and responded to the suspect’s location the 100 block of S. G St. The suspect, Lacy Irene Campuzano, Lakeview, who also had an active warrant for her arrest. Law enforcement conducted a search of the residence, and found drugs in plain view, the search also revealed a firearm in another room. A criminal history records check revealed that the owner of the residence, Robert Arnold Haney, Pleasant Hill, was a felon; he was cited in lieu of custody for possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine. Campuzano has been charged with theft II and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle both charges have been referred to the DA.

Thursday, March 19 – OSP along with Lake County Probation contacted Jeffrey Erlyn Wallace, Central Point, at his residence on the 900 block of S. I St., for failure to report and his association with a burglary suspect. Wallace was cited and released for possessing methamphetamine and violating his probation, the case has been referred to the DA’s office.
