Monday, June 29 – OSP stopped a vehicle for speeding at the corner of north Fourth and K streets. Criminal activity was observed and the vehicle was searched. The searched revealed a large amount of marijuana, currency and a firearm. The driver, Zachary Thomas Cornett, Middleburg, Fla., and William James Harrell, Yulee, Fla., were arrested and lodged in the Lake County Jail. Deiter’s Towing towed the vehicle.

Tuesday, June 30 – OSP responded to call of Matthew James Kent, Gold Hill, who was dumping household trash at Goose Lake State Park the last few days. A Park Ranger advised OSP that Kent became hostile and agitated when confronted about the issue. OSP talked with Kent about the issue and was advised not to dump household trash at the State Park trash cans.

Wednesday, July 1 – OSP responded to a vehicle versus deer accident on Hwy 395 at mile post 130. The driver, Wanda Nicole Reese Ayers, Aberdeen, N.C., and the passenger, Brandon Mashburn, Carthage, N.C., did not suffer any injuries. Though the vehicle suffered significant front end damage and was towed by Hall’s Towing.

Thursday, July 2 – OSP responded to a single vehicle accident on Hwy 395 at mile post 121. Ruth Ann Patton, Klamath Falls, passed out and struck a fence, when OSP arrived she was experiencing medical issues, an ambulance transported her to the hospital. The property owner was advised about the damage to the fence, Deiter’s Towing towed the vehicle.

Sunday, July 5 – OSP stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at the corner of south F and Seventh streets. Driver, Angela Maybury, Klamath Falls, was found to be driving with a suspended license and no insurance, the vehicle was towed by Hall’s Towing.
