Friday, Sept. 4 – OSP contacted an individual who had built an illegal campfire on Green Diamond Resource Company land near the Mitchell Monument. Dustin Andrew Owings, Klamath Falls, was found to have a valid cite and release warrant for a failure to appear on a DUI charge out of Klamath County, he was warned about the camp fire and given one week to clean it up and remove his camp from Green Diamond Resource Company lands.

Saturday, Sept. 5 – OSP responded to a vehicle parked in the middle of Hwy 140 at milepost 27 with no lights on. The driver, Shannon Michelle Kelly, Silver Springs, Nev., displayed indicators of impairment. A search of the vehicle revealed a dagger and methamphetamine. A blood alcohol test was 0%, the driver provided a urine sample for testing. The driver was issued multiple criminal citations.
