Tuesday, April 30 — Oregon State Troopers located a missing runaway juvenile in the highway south of Lakeview. After an investigation was conducted, the 12-year-old juvenile was released to parents.
Wednesday, May 1 — Troopers stopped a red Kia Forte for a traffic violation. A search revealed criminal activity and a locked safe. The safe was later searched based upon obtaining a search warrant. A large sum of US currency was seized.
Thursday, May 2 — A tan Lexus R350 was eastbound on Hwy 140 west of Lakeview when a deer ran into the roadway. The car struck the deer, killing the animal and causing significant front end damage to the car. The driver, Jeanne Marie Lahaie, 53, of Klamath Falls reported no injuries, but the vehicle did catch on fire briefly.
Friday, May 3 — Oregon State Police assisted the Lake County Sheriff’s Office with an unattended death investigation at the 1300 block of north Second street. Harl Eugene Riddle, 83, of Lakeview was the victim in the house.
Friday, May 3 — Christopher Richard David Parker, 28, of Lakeview was known to have warrants and was located in the Safeway parking lot. A wants check confirmed he had five warrants out of Lake County. Parker was lodged at the Lake County Jail.
