Lake County Sheriff Office Report
Sunday, April 28 — Deputies responded to Safeway to assist a Lake County Probation Officer in contacting an adult female who had an outstanding felony warrant. The female was contacted and detained while the warrant was confirmed. The female was arrested and transported to the Lake County Correction’s Facility and booked.
Wednesday, May 1 — Deputies observed and contacted an adult male at North Lake Tire regarding several outstanding warrants. The subject was detained while the warrants were confirmed. The subject was arrested and transported to the Lake County Correction’s Facility and booked on two warrants, bail of $25,000.00.

Saturday, April 20 — A pick up truck pulling a loaded flatbed trailer was traveling southbound on Hwy 395 near mile post 51 when the trailer caught fire. The truck and cargo were disconnected and unloaded from the trailer with the assistance of passerby’s and the fire was extinguished. The fire caused some damage to the asphalt. The owner, David Thomas Wasden, 59, of Riverside, Calif., planned on calling a private tow. Sunday, April 21 — A disabled motorist was reported to be located near mile post 54 on Hwy 140E. The green Mini Cooper was located unoccupied and partially blocking the eastbound lane of travel. A hazard tow was requested and Don Deiter’s Tow recovered the vehicle.
Tuesday, April 23 — A white Chevrolet C250 was headed northbound on Hwy 31 when it struck and killed a cow, belonging to the Murphy Ranch in Paisley. The driver, Courtnie Lee Grassman, 39, of Christmas Valley arranged for her own tow and the vehicle was removed the next day.
Wednesday, April 24 — A white Dodge Ram was stopped for a speeding violation. A DMV and wants check revealed that the driver, Madison Preston Wilson, 49, of Reno, Nev., had a confirmed warrant out of Nevada for assault. Wilson was lodged at the Lake County Jail for the warrant. The vehicle was towed incident to arrest by Don Deiter’s Towing.
