Lake County Sheriff Office Report

Sunday, June 16 — Deputies responded to the Lake County Fairgrounds regarding an assault with a vehicle. The investigation revealed an altercation took place in the parking lot between five to nine people. During the confrontation a white BMW with California plates rammed into three individuals, which resulted in minor injuries. The vehicle fled the scene. The three injured males refused medical attention at the time of the incident. Investigation is ongoing.

Sunday, June 16 — Deputies contacted an adult male in the 700 block of South J Street due to suspicious activity. After determining the male subject was a danger to the public and himself he was taken into custody on a police officer mental hold and transported to Lake District Hospital for a mental evaluation.

Monday, June 17 — Deputies responded to the 700 block of Center Street regarding an assault. Deputies contacted the 95-year-old victim who conveyed that her adult granddaughter-in-law sprayed aerosol in her face then fled the residence. The victim refused medical aid at the time of the investigation. A short time later the suspect was located. It was determined at the time of contact that the suspect was so inebriated on drugs that she was taken to the Lake District Hospital where she was treated in the ER. The suspect was cited and released due to her intoxication and admission to the hospital. The case has been forwarded to the DA’s Office for charging.

Tuesday, June 18 — Deputies responded to the 700 block of South G Street regarding a medical aid call. When Deputies arrived family members handed the Deputies a leopard colored glass case that contained a bindle of methamphetamine and a glass pipe. The adult female who medical aid was summoned for was hiding in a wooden shed in the rear of the residence. The suspect was consequently arrested for PCS methamphetamine. The investigation has been forwarded to the DA’s Office for charging.

Tuesday, June 18 — Deputies responded to the 800 block of North H Street regarding a domestic dispute between boyfriend and girlfriend. The adult female was angry because she stated her ex-boyfriend would not relinquish her property that was in his apartment. The adult female began pounding on the window and consequently broke it. The female was subsequently arrested for Criminal Mischief II degree. The investigation has been forwarded to the DA’s Office for charging.

Sunday, June 23 — Deputies responded to the 1100 block of South F Street regarding a domestic dispute between mother and son. An argument ensued over whether the son’s wife could come into the house and use the bathroom. When the mother refused the son assaulted his mother in the presence of his six-year-old child. When the mother attempted to telephone 911 the son physical grabbed the phone from her hand and threw it outside in the driveway. The suspect fled the scene, however was apprehended with his wife later in the day. The male suspect was arrested for Felony Assault 4th degree and his wife was arrested for a Restraining Order Violation. Both suspects were transported to the Lake County Correction’s Facility where they were booked.
