Tuesday, Nov. 5 – OSP deputy stopped Thomas Ray Deal, 49, of Richmond, Va., on a traffic stop on Hwy 140 at milepost 87. Criminal activity was observed. A search revealed a large quantity of U.S. currency concealed in a manufactured void in the van. The driver was charge with money laundering, delivery of marijuana, and conspiracy. The driver was arrested and lodged in the Lake County Jail.

Tuesday, Nov. 5 – A OSP deputy stopped Frank James Ugalde, 58, of suspected DUII. The deputy noticed the driver, in a white Ford F-150, was traveling east on south 3rd street with no taillights. During the traffic stop the deputy smelled alcohol on the driver’s breath. The driver failed the field sobriety test and was arrested for DUII. The driver provided a breath sample, the BAC was .13. The driver was cited and released. The vehicle was towed by Dieter’s Towing.

Wednesday, Nov. 6 – A OSP deputy stopped a black Nissan for a lane violation on Hwy 140 W at Tunnel Hill Road. During the stop criminal activity was observed and the deputy searched the vehicle. A large quantity of US currency was found. The driver, Terrance LePaul Partee, 46, Iowa, was arrested as was the passenger Kylie Alicia Abel, 20, Neb., for money laundering, marijuana, and conspiracy. The case has been referred to the DA for consideration. The vehicle was towed to Lakeview by Hall Towing.

Thursday, Nov. 7 – A OSP deputy stopped a vehicle on Hwy 140 at milepost 95 for a traffic violation. The driver Jon Daniel Higgins, 36, Covington, Ind., consented to a search of his red Honda Civic. During the search marijuana and #21,800 in currency was found. The driver was lodged at Lake County Jail for money laundering and importing marijuana extract, the case has been referred to the DA for consideration. The vehicle was towed to Lakeview by Dieters Towing.

Friday, Nov. 8 – OSP responded to a fatal accident on Hwy 140W and Tracy Loop. Nicholas Whitebread-Lanaro, 19, Bly, went off the roadway and rolled several times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and he died at the scene. The vehicle was towed to Lakeview by Hall Towing.
