Monday, Dec. 7 — Deputies responded to the 100 block of N. F St., Lakeview, regarding the report of a burglary. The victim stated that her debit card had been stolen and that $500 had been withdrawn from her account. She said she noticed it was missing on Thursday, Dec. 3 and that she had last used it on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the Dollar General store. She said that when she contacted the bank she was told her card had been used at the U.S. Bank ATM at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2 to withdraw the $500. The investigation is ongoing.

Monday, Dec. 7 — Deputies contacted the victim of a theft at 135 S. L St., Lakeview. The victim reported her yard ornament projector was stolen from her tree in the front yard. The investigation is ongoing.

Monday, Dec. 7 — Deputies contacted the victim of a theft at 232 S. G St., Lakeview. The victim said her neighbor had contacted her and told her that he had seen someone steal Christmas lights from her yard. The victim said she was missing two-yard lights. The victim said the cost of the lights was $32.99 each. The investigation is ongoing.

Tuesday, Dec. 8 — Kirk Gearhart was cited and released on a valid Lake County warrant for failure to appear.

Wednesday, Dec. 9 — Deputies were dispatched to an unresponsive female in the 900 block of Linda Lane, Lakeview. Upon arrival the decedent was found to be cold to the touch and with no pulse. The District Attorney and the Medical Examiner were notified and the body was released to the Desert Rose Funeral Chapel.

Wednesday, Dec. 9 — Bryan Burke was cited and released at the Sheriff’s Office for a probation violation warrant out of Lake County.

Wednesday, Dec. 9 — Deputies contacted a victim of a hit and run, the victim reported that someone ran into his vehicle in the Hall Motor Company parking lot while his truck was in for service sometime in the last two weeks.

Thursday, Dec. 10 — Deputies received reports of someone breaking windows to local businesses in the early morning hours. Deputies responded but were unable to locate any suspects in the area. At 7:30 a.m. an ODOT worker observed a motor vehicle crash on Hwy 140 east. The description of the vehicle matched the suspect’s vehicle. Deputies and the Oregon State Police responded and located the suspect walking on the roadway at mile marker 11. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. He had a loaded hand gun in his possession and his backpack was full of ammunition. The suspect was transported to the Lake County Jail and booked on multiple charges.

Thursday, Dec. 10 — A set of keys on a lanyard was found in the middle of the 200 block of N. L St., Lakeview. The keys were dropped off at the Emergency Services Building. The owner was later located and the keys were returned.

Friday, Dec. 11 — Deputies responded to a vehicle on its top in the ditch on Old Lake Road, Silver Lake, approximately a half mile east of Hwy 31. There were no occupants when the Deputies arrived. The investigation is ongoing.

Friday, Dec. 11 — Deputies were dispatched to a report of a possible burglary in the 86000 block of Christmas Valley Hwy. The victim was contacted who said she received a phone call from her property caretaker stating there was someone in her house and the locks had been changed. The suspect was contacted who reported she had a court order stating the property was hers. The investigation has been forwarded to the District Attorneys Office for review. The investigation is ongoing.

Saturday, Dec. 12 — Deputies responded to a 911 report of an unattended death of a 94-year-old female in Christmas Valley. The investigation revealed no evidence of a crime. The District Attorney and the Medical Examiner were notified, and at the direction of the Medical Examiner the decedent was released to the Desert Rose Funeral Home.
