Book fair to feature local history

Lake County Museum Curator Marie Lee holds two of the books that will be available for people to purchase at the Lake County Museum Falling for Books event on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 1 – 3 p.m.

Even though the Lake County Museum will not be able to participate in this year’s Lake Health District Holiday Fair – as it has been canceled – people will still have the chance to purchase books for gifts at the Lake County Museum Falling for Books event on Saturday, Nov. 14.

Falling for Books will take place at the Lake County Museum from 1 – 3 p.m. During that time both the Lake County Museum and the Schminck Museum will be open to the public, and there will be no admission charge. The books during the event will be in the Lake County Museum.

Lake County Museum Curator Marie Lee said that the Lake County Museum does well at the Holiday Fair, but with it being canceled this year, she wanted a way for people to purchase books either for themselves or as gifts for people. That inspired her idea to showcase books at the museum.
