Harlan’s Furniture and Appliance has been a mainstay of the annual Lake County EXPO since 1996, when Dan Harlan bought the store from his father.
Harlan’s plan to continue to show off the latest in furniture, appliances, and sectionals at the Lake County EXPO, taking place on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Lake County Fairgrounds, starting at 9:30 a.m.
According to Sandy Gabriel, who has been with Harlan’s since the late-90s, Harlan’s always try to bring something new to the EXPO that they have not had in stock previously.
Among the new items to showcase this year is a powered Coaster sectional. It features six pieces that are modular, and can be arranged in any configuration. Three of the modules recline, with power headrests. Other amenities include dual cup holders, a USB port to charge electronic devices, LED backlighting, storage and more.
Other items Harlan’s will feature at the EXPO include an Ashley coffee table set. This features a lift top, which allows people to lift up the coffee table rather than remove it. It includes two end tables as well. The style is a futuristic-industrial style, with a wood finish that looks like metal in the light.
The other featured item is a Coaster three piece bar table set. It will come in classic brown, and is perfect for small living spaces. The set includes two chairs and a table.
Other home décor include two area rugs made by Ashley to complement new furniture.
As an added benefit for shopping at the Lake County EXPO, Harlan’s will deliver new purchases to homes that same day.
Harlan’s will also be able to take special orders at the show, if people like one of the items but maybe want it in a different color or other accessories.
Harlan’s will also be bringing a digital kiosk to the EXPO, which allows people to browse inventory and purchase items on-site.
“We will be handing out giveaways,” added Gabriel.
Harlan’s, and U.S. Cellular, will provide free swag at the show, such as reusable bags, pens, and a pocket calendar.
Big-ticket items will not be the only thing available at the show as well. Harlan’s is bringing a wide range of accessories, which people can buy on-site such as table decorations, small end tables, and more.
Harlan’s will be featuring sale prices on their big items, and in the first week of March will host a storewide sale; conducted every year after the Lake County EXPO.
Gabriel is happy with the way the community has embraced Harlan’s at the show each year, and they hope that the community will come out once more.
The Lake County EXPO is at the Lake County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
