Lake District Hospital Auxiliary will host its 48th annual holiday fair at the Lake County Fairgrounds complete with vendors, food, festive items and its annual raffle.
Taking place on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7, the event has long been a favorite aspect of the holiday season in Lake County to shop local.
This year’s raffle prizes are an assortment of handmade items and gifts from various local businesses. The proceeds from the raffle and holiday fair benefits the Hospital Auxiliary, which helps support the Lake District Hospital in purchasing items of need such as a salad bar in the cafeteria and oxygenators for the emergency room.
The raffle items this year include a framed photograph by Larry Holloway, a handmade baby quilt by Norma Lund and Maurice Lepley, a handmade alpaca scarf by Janine Simms, hand-painted picture set by Melva Wilkie, and holiday decorations donated by Bloomers Country Nursery.
Raffle tickers are $1 a ticket, or six tickets for $5.
Tickets can be bought at the hospital gift shop, from any member of the Hospital Auxiliary, or at the Lake District Hospital Fair on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7.
Winners will be drawn on Saturday, winners need not be present to win.
