With the Christmas holiday season unofficially launching immediately post-Halloween, at least according to many television advertisers, Lakeview High School’s ski team is once again getting into the season’s spirit with their annual Christmas wreath fundraiser.

Wreaths are being sold to help cover expenses for the team’s competitions, with the Honkers competing in the 15-team Oregon School Ski Association (OSSI). Ski competitions begin on Jan. 5.

The wreaths being sold are mixed evergreen with red bows, perfect for homes and businesses to showcase the Christmas season spirit and support for local high school athletics. Wreaths are $28, or can be shipped for a total cost of $37. Payment can be made via check to WCSSEF or Lakeview Ski Team.

Ski team members will be contacting previous recipients of wreaths this month, or interested parties can order a wreath by contacting Matt Harlan at 541-417-1569 or lhsskiteam@gmail.com.
