Fire breaks out in Lakeview Monday

Fire Crews worked tirelessly on Monday, April 15 to put out the blaze on Roberta Road. The structures were completely lost. The homeowner was not home at the time of the blaze.

A fire broke out in Lakeview on Monday, April 15. 

Fire Dept. personnel were called out at approximately 1:15 p.m., to Roberta Road on Monday, April 15 to a structure fire. 

Personnel from the Lakeview Fire Dept., Thomas Creek Westside Fire Dept., New Pine Creek Willow Ranch Fire Dept., Lakeview Disaster Unit worked to control the fire. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon State Police helped block off the road in both directions and crews from Pacific Power and Lakview Public Works were also on site. 

The home was being rented by CeCe Montgomery and she was not home at the time of the blaze, however the pets in the house passed away. The structure was a complete loss and Montgomery lost everything inside the home. 

At the time of publication, the Fire Marshal and Fire Chief were still investigating the cause of the fire. 

There is a fundraiser ongoing on Facebook titled “Cece’s Personal Emergency Fundraiser” if anyone would like to make a donation. There is also donation jar set up at Curiosity Corner located at 2103 N. 4th St., in Lakeview and the American Red Cross has been notified for assistance. 

Donations can also be made to 18698 Roberta Rd., in Lakeview.
