Graham riding off in style in collegiate rodeo

Montana State senior and Lakeview native Jack Graham is riding off into the sunset as he puts the finishing touches on an outstanding collegiate career. 

On Saturday, April 27, at the University of Montana rodeo Graham was one of 22 Montana State Bobcats to place within the top four in their events. Graham placed third in the tie down roping, with a time of 25.3, just one second off the first place finisher. Graham and his partner Matt Williams were the champions in the team roping with a time of 13.6 seconds. His performances helped him take home the men’s all around title. 

On Saturday, May 4, the final rodeo of the Big Sky Region took place in Great Falls. Graham locked up second place once again in the tie down roping with a time of 21.9, narrowly missing out on first place. After placing in the top four in several of his events throughout the season that included a first place finish at the spring rodeo on Saturday, April 13, Graham was one of 16 Montana State rodeo contestants to qualify for the 2019 National College Rodeo Finals beginning on Sunday, June 9 in Casper, Wyo. To qualify, he had to place in the top three throughout the entire year

This is Graham’s second consecutive appearance in the Collegiate National Rodeo Finals, after qualifying last year and placing in the top 30.
