June Ada Williams

June Ada Williams, 88, passed away on Tuesday,March 24,2020 at her daughter Linda’s home in Scappoose.

June was born on June 19, 1931 in Stockton, Calif. to Nicholas and Rose Wiebe. She grew up on a sheep ranch in San Andreas, Calif.

She married Bud Williams in 1950 in Carson City, Nev. and they soon moved to Oregon. June and Bud moved to Lakeview in 1955 and made it their home for 58 years before June moved to Scappoose to be closer to all her daughters, grandkids and great-grandkids. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her daughters and all her grandchildren. The grandchildren loved visiting Lakeview and camping, fishing and hunting with Granma. She loved handing out Halloween candy from their home on South 4th Street, taking photos, hunting, camping and fishing, square dancing, golfing, walking, playing tennis and pinochle, sewing, gardening and traveling in her later years. She was involved in The Lakeview Hospital Auxiliary, Firettes, Elks, the VFW, the Lakeview Photography Group, coaching softball, Campfire and Camp Cottonwood.

We feel blessed for our time in Lakeview as a family and her last years in Scappoose at Rose Valley Assisted Living where June made a whole new batch of friends and got folks playing pinochle three nights a week . We were so fortunate to get to spend so much time with June over the last few years. Many wonderful memories were made and will be with us when we miss her. She was her brothers big sister and we’re told she was a good one.

June was preceded in death by: husband, Bud Williams; parents, Nicholas and Rose Wiebe; and brother, Dennis Wiebe.

She is survived by: daughters, Donna Meyers, Jolene Williams and Linda Williams; brothers, Ed Wiebe of Lakeview, Ray Wiebe of Cantwell, Alaska and Karl Wiebe of Sheep Ranch, Calif.; four grandchildren, Steven Meyers, Luke Meyers, Hannah Wells and Sarah Wells; four great-granchildren; and her sweet little kitten, Mugs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Donations in memory of June can be sent to the Lakeview Hospital Auxiliary, 700 So. J St., Lakeview, OR 97630
