Larry E. Tracy, 68, passed away at Santiam Hospital in Stayton on Monday, April 1, 2019. 

He was born on April 7, 1950 in Lakeview to the late Gene Tracy and Jerry Rivera. Larry grew up on the Tracy ranch in Drew’s Valley and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1968.

Larry was a skilled salesman and worked in many different industries before settling in the car business. He earned the role of sales manager at various dealerships, retiring in 2017 as General Manager of Power Kia in Salem. He reconnected with Donna (Gale) Tracy and they married in 1993, making a home in the Salem area. Larry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his many close friends and family. Every year he looked forward to the Tracy family reunion at Cottonwood Meadows.  In recent years, he volunteered his time to serve with Linn County Search and Rescue.

Larry is survived by: his wife, Donna; daughter and son-in-law,  Niki Hotchkiss and Tim Curtis; sister,  Diane Hendrickson; sisters and brothers-in-law,  Cyndi and Emmett Kness, Margie and Al Garrison, and Rosemaire  and Jayson Gettman; brother-in-law, Dan Byer (Ruth Augustine); nephews, Rick Hendrickson, Jeremy and Clint Woelert, and Andy and Buddy Kness; nieces,  Kristi Hendrickson-Fitzgerald and Tracy Melsness; and a large extended family.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 at Westside Cemetery in Lakeview.

Memorial contributions in memory of Larry Tracy may be given to St. Patrick Catholic Church, P.O. Box 29, Lakeview OR 97630 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
