Roy W. Robertson, 91, of Waldport passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020 surrounded by his wife and children.

Roy was born March 29, 1929 in Montrose, Colo. He lived in various places throughout his life, including Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and California.

He loved kids and made a positive impact on many young lives during his career as a teacher, coach, and school administrator. He especially enjoyed his years in Lakeview as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Upon his retirement he continued to actively volunteer with various organizations, including the Waldport Public Schools and the Oregon Mid-Coast Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, singing in the Coastalaires Barbershop Chorus.

He was preceded in death by: his father Walter Robertson, mother, Iva Robrtson Bell; and brother, Gary Robertson.

Roy is survived by: his wife, Mary Lee Scoville; son, Michael Robertson; daughter, Shannon Robertson; daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Gregg Hemann; brothers, Dennis Robertson and Jim Robertson; sister, Linda Ward; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Waldport. A Celebration of Life will also be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Mid-Coast Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Samaritan Evergreen Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
