Raymond Milo Cain, 67, passed away at his home in Lakeview on Thursday, June 13, 2019.

He was born Feb. 13, 1952 to Milo and Janet (Eddy) Cain, in Ukiah, Calif.

His family moved to Lakeview where he grew up in 1964.  He attended Lakeview High School and graduated in 1970.  After high school Raymond went to Corvallis to attend college.  Once there he came across a farrier school and decided he liked that better, so he quit college and went to farrier school.   He worked various jobs in and around the Salem area during this time.  He eventually started roofing and then began his own roofing business.  In the late 70s he married and from that marriage two daughters were born, Amber and Jennifer.  In the mid 90s he moved back to Lakeview, to the family ranch.  Ray worked alongside his parents on the ranch.  Working cattle and ranching with his trusty companions, his horse and his dog, was his love. Ray loved Lake County and the opportunities that it provided to go hunting and be out in the wide-open spaces.

He is preceded in death by: his parents.

Raymond is survived by:  his daughters, Amber and Jennifer; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Del Raymond; niece and nephew-in-law, Tonia and Layne Roberts; and numerous grandchildren.

At the request of Raymond, a private family gathering will take place at a later time.    Memorial contributions may be made to Westside Cemetery District, 15188 Westside Rd. Lakeview, OR 97630 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Desert Rose Funeral Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
