Robert “Bobby” Jack Thompson, 44, passed away in Christmas Valley on Sunday, May 3, 2020.

Robert was born to Lorrine (Thompson) Cowdrey on Feb. 27, 1976, in Redding, Calif.

Bobby grew up in Lakeview and attended Lakeview High School. He was a skilled ranch hand and love the work and the lifestyle it provided. He was a long-time hand for the Garrett Ranch. After moving to Christmas Valley, he found another love and that was working as a volunteer fire fighter for his community. He enjoyed guns, hunting and the great outdoors of the Oregon Outback. He also loved cars and working on them. Bobby had a big heart and was always willing to help anybody.

Bobby was preceded in death by: his mother, Lorrine Cowdrey; and aunt, Lucille Denton.

He is survived by: brothers, William Donovan and Steven Donovan; sisters, Arleen Gardenhire and Rebecca Cowdrey; and his many friends.

At Bobby’s request there will be no services scheduled.

Desert Rose Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
