Robert Roy “Bobby” Carlon Jr., 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
He was born Nov. 8, 1959 in Lakeview to Bob and Norma Jean Carlon.
He spent his younger years in Paisley on the family ranch. He was the youngest partner in his family’s business, Carlon Logging. He began working alongside his dad, Bob, in the woods when he was a young boy. All through his school years he attended Paisley School where he graduated in 1977. After completing school, he continued his logging career until he moved to Coffee Creek, Calif. where he began mining with his family. In 1981 he met the love of his life, Terri (Robison) Carlon. They married July 16, 1983 in Coffee Creek.
Bobby and Terri settled in Paisley where they continued logging and building roads as they raised their five children. Bobby was a proud supporter of both the Paisley and North Lake athletic and FFA programs, he volunteered with the Paisley Disaster Unit, and lent a helping hand wherever needed. Each year Bobby looked forward to the Lake County Fair and Round-Up and was passionate about supporting Lake County’s youth through the annual livestock sale. Bobby spent many long hours working in the woods where he involved his children. He instilled his work ethic and taught his kids the value of family, integrity, and an honest day’s work. Through all of his adventures Bobby touched many lives which developed into lifelong friendships. Bobby loved his family fiercely, loved his work, and lived life on his own terms.
