Vivian Doris Arsenault

Vivian Doris Arsenault

Vivian Doris Arsenault, 72, passed away at Lakeview Gardens with her son and close friends by her side on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Vivian was born to Armand and Rosilda (Seymour) Arsenault on Feb. 9, 1948, in New Bedford, Mass.

Vivian came to Lakeview with her son, Jim Arsenault, when Jim chose to pursue a job opportunity here. By that time, she had already retired from a lifetime of work in various service-oriented industries, including banking, health care and telephone support. In her younger years, she attended high school in New Bedford, Mass. and Flushing, N. Y. She moved extensively around the northeastern United States as her father’s employment required. The frequent moves added to the stress of raising a child as a single parent, which she handled very well. When not working, either inside or outside of the home, she enjoyed creating hand-crafted items, both sewing and hand embroidery. Her cross-stitch Monopoly board earned a Grand Champion prize at the Lake County Fair several years ago. In addition, prior to moving to Lakeview, she was extremely active in a local church community theater group which kept her busy with costuming projects for nearly half of each year.

Vivian was preceded in death by: her parents; and her infant brother, Robert. They are in God’s hands.

She is survived by: son, James Arsenault of Lakeview; and sister, Rita Carlton of Jupiter, Fla.

A rosary service was held on Tuesday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church. This was followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., committal at the Sunset Park Cemetery, and a potluck luncheon at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall.

Contributions in Vivian’s name can be made to the All Saints Theatrical Repertoire Association (ASTRA), care of All Saints Catholic Church, 204 6th Ave. SW, Puyallup, WA 98374.

Desert Rose Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
