LHS basketball celebrates the season

After making an improbable run to make the district playoffs the Lakeview High School boys varsity basketball gathered to celebrate the season on Thursday, March 5.

People packed the LHS cafeteria to hear who won team awards and league awards.

On the LHS jv team Collin Markus was named the defensive player. Cael Stratton won the offensive player award. Julian Cimity was named the hardest worker, Nick Maita won the hustle award and Ira Otley was the most improved.

For the varsity squad Jalen Lampman was named the MVP and won the Mister Honker award. Wyatt Gustaveson won offensive and Connor Steward won defensive player awards. Brian Arcularius won the most improved. Austin Philibert won the hard worker. Robert Hussey won hard worker and offensive player awards. Max Graham won the versatile award and Esteban Orozco won the hustle award.

For the Southern Cascade League awards. Lampman was named to the First Team All-League for the fourth time in his high school career and Player of the Year for the third time in his high school career. Gustevaseon was named Second Team All-League, and Philibert and Hussey were Honorable Mentions.
