Lakeview High School girls soccer had its busiest week of the season last week, competing in three league games.

Action opened on Monday, Oct. 7 at Illinois Valley, a game that ended in a 0-0 tie. Two days later on Wednesday, Oct. 9 Lakeview hosted Rogue River during homecoming week. Rogue River scored in the opening minutes, but Lakeview was able to tie it in the first half on a penalty kick by Zoe Suba. Thereafter LHS controlled the action, tallying two more goals for a 3-1 victory.

On Saturday, Oct. 12 the whirlwind week continued, welcoming St. Mary’s to Lakeview. The Honkers were shutout by the Crusaders in a 2-0 game. No further information about the games was available at the time of publication.

The three contests place Lakeview’s overall record at 3-3-3, and 1-1-2 in league play. Lakeview is currently in third place in Special District 5, trailing St. Mary’s and Cascade Christian.

Lakeview soccer will return to action on Wednesday with a home game against Cascade Christian. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m.
