Monday, May 16 — Deputies responded to a report of a runaway 17-year-old female. The runaway left home approximately one week prior. Due to the runaway communicating with her mother via text message, the deputies were able to locate her in Oakridge. The location and information have been forwarded to Lane County Sheriff’s Office for follow-up. The investigation is ongoing.

Monday, May 16 — Deputies conducted a traffic stop involving a juvenile for speeding and careless driving through residential streets and school zones. During contact with the driver, two other occupants of the vehicle were recognized as students of Lakeview High School and Daly Middle School. Deputies observed blood oozing from the nose and mouth of a female passenger. The investigation revealed the injured female had been punched in the face during lunchtime at Pizza Villa. The female was treated at Lake District Hospital and was later referred to a specialist to consult for surgery. Deputies arrested the female suspect and booked her in the Klamath County Juvenile Detention Center for assault IV.
