Saturday, Jan. 1 — Deputies responded to a domestic violence incident in the 700 block of south 10th street, Lakeview. The investigation led to the arrest of Christopher Vanderford for driving while intoxicated. He was lodged in the Lake County Jail.

Saturday, Jan. 1 — A Lake County resident requested extra patrols for the 300 block of north K street in Lakeview due to someone taking the residents firewood at night. On the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 3 the resident had reported more firewood thefts. A deputy made contact with the victim on Tuesday, Jan. 4 and took a report. The investigation is ongoing.

Monday, Jan. 3 — Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Expedition not displaying a license plate lamp near the intersection of south H and 11th streets in Lakeview. The investigation revealed that the driver, Dave Lamburth, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Klamath County. Lamburth was arrested and lodged in the Lake County Jail.

Tuesday, Jan. 4 —Deputies recovered a bicycle near the intersection of south H and 8th streets in Lakeview. The bicycle was not reported as stolen. The bicycle was placed into evidence for safe keeping.

Tuesday, Jan. 4 — Deputies responded to the 200 block of north U street for a vandalism report. Three vehicles back tires had been punctured sometime the previous night; damaging six tires. One of the vehicles had been unlocked and the front door was found to be open. According to the victim, nothing appeared to have been taken from the vehicle. The case is under investigation.

Tuesday, Jan. 4 — Deputies responded to an address on Westside Road in Lakeview for the reported death of an 82-year-old male. The investigation revealed the decedent had an extensive medical history. The District Attorney and Medical Examiner were notified.

Wednesday, Jan. 5 — Deputies responded to a report of a possible parole violation from the District Attorney’s Office. The violation involved improper telephone contact with a family member. The investigation has been forwarded to Lake County Community Corrections for review.

Thursday, Jan. 6 — Deputies responded to a report of a theft at ACE Hardware in Lakeview. The suspect was identified from the investigation. The stolen item was recovered and the male suspect was issued a citation in lieu of custody for theft III. The stolen property was returned to ACE Hardware.

Thursday, Jan. 6 — Deputies began an investigation regarding multiple dogs being a public nuisance in Silver Lake. The investigation is ongoing.

Thursday, Jan. 6 — Deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive female in the 100 block of south J street in Lakeview. Life saving measures were unsuccessful and the female was pronounced deceased by medical personnel. The investigation is ongoing.

Friday, Jan. 7 — Deputies responded to a report of two dogs that attempted to attack a male subject in his own yard on south J street in Lakeview; the dogs were located and the female owner was issued a citation on Sunday, Dec. 26. On Thursday, Jan. 6 deputies attempted to make contact with the female owner about the dogs who have bitten two people previously. Deputies were attempted to impound the dogs until court proceedings. Deputies contacted the female owner in the 700 block of south 11th street in Lakeview. The female owner screamed at the deputies and then slammed and locked the door. Deputies applied for a search warrant to seize the dogs. Deputies returned to the house and with the help of the husband were able to impound the dogs at the Lakeview Animal Hospital. The female owner was issued a citation in lieu of custody for maintaining a dangerous dog. The investigation is ongoing.
