Sunday, June 27 — Deputies responded to a report of criminal mischief on south F street in Lakeview. A suspect caused over $1,000 in damages to electrical and video equipment. Deputies reviewed video of the crime. A male subject was arrested for criminal mischief and booked into the Lake County Jail.
Wednesday, June 30 — Deputies responded to a report of criminal mischief at the library in Lakeview. The victim said his vehicle was shot at by marbles. The investigation revealed that unknown suspects had thrown eggs and also projected glass marbles against the victim’s vehicle causing damage.
Wednesday, June 30 — Deputies responded to a report of vandalism to Snowflake Road in Christmas Valley. The reporting party stated they had invested over $2,100 on repairing and grading Snowflake Road. The reporting party stated his neighbor was digging trenches in the road. The investigation revealed there were six trenches over two feet long, each 7.5 inches wide and two inches deep. The suspect was cited for criminal mischief and the investigation has been forwarded to the DA’s Office for charging.
Thursday, July 1 — Jesse Strout was arrested and lodged in the Lake County Jail on an outstanding felony warrant out of Lake County.
Thursday, July 1 — Deputies were dispatched to a report of an altercation on Holiday Road in Christmas Valley. The reporting party reported that an unknown male and multiple other subjects came to his residence and assaulted his wife. The reporting party’s brother was arrested for violation of a restraining order and booked into the Lake County Jail.
Saturday, July 3 — Deputies made contact with Richard Upchurch in the park at the Town of Lakeview swimming pool regarding deviant conduct. The investigation revealed Upchurch to be highly intoxicated, he had strewn trash around the park and had masturbated in front of children prior to the deputies arrival. Upchurch resisted arrest and kicked at deputies before he was forcibly placed in a patrol vehicle. Upchurch was booked in the Lake County Jail.
Sunday, july 4 — Deputies responded to 512 Center St., Lakeview, of a report of Debra Efird biting Richard Norris on the hand. The altercation became physical when Efird attempted to steal Norris’s beer. Efird was arrest for assault 4 and booked into the Lake County Jail.
Monday, July 5 — Deputies responded to a noise complaint in the 700 block of south I street in Lakeview at 2:30 a.m. Callers stated fireworks or gunshots were going off at night. Deputies responding from the Westside said they observed a large firework going off in the area. Deputies arrived a short time later but were unable to locate the address. Deputies observed multiple juveniles drinking and smoking marijuana. Deputies observed an adult male give a juvenile a joint and a bottle of liquor. The adult was arrested for furnishing alcohol and marijuana to a juvenile. Multiple juveniles were cited for minor in possession and released to their parents.
Tuesday, July 6 — Deputies observed Jacob Steel walking on the sidewalk on the south side of the Gathering Place at the intersection of Center and F streets in Lakeview. Steel turned and concealed something as he ran from the deputies down the alley. Steel was detained and deputies found a box of cigarettes containing suspected methamphetamine. The investigation has been forwarded to the DA for charging.
Tuesday, July 6 — Deputies took Richard Compton into custody on an outstanding warrant at the Parole and Probation Office. Compton was lodged in the Lake County Jail.
Wednesday, July 7 — Deputies responded to the public pool on Center Street in Lakeview regarding a small bundle containing a white substance. The bundle was recovered and placed into evidence for destruction.
Wednesday, July 7 — A plastic bag with a white crystalline substance was turned into the Sheriff’s Office. The reporting party stated it was recovered at 512 Center Street, Lakeview. No suspect information was obtained. A field test of the substance revealed a positive presumptive test for methamphetamine.
Friday, July 9 — Deputies were notified by dispatch about the theft of two dogs in Christmas Valley. The victim stated the dogs were taken from her residence, approximately seven miles from Christmas Valley off Old Lake Road. The investigation is ongoing.
Friday, July 9 — A wallet was turned into dispatch. No identification could be determined and a partial description of the wallet was provided to the public via social media. No calls to claim the wallet were made and the property has been submitted to the Sheriff’s Office property room.
Saturday, July 10 — Deputies contacted Lawrence Mann who was driving a White Ford Ranger on north K street in Lakeview. The Ranger was displaying plates of another vehicle. The investigation revealed the vehicle to be stolen. The investigation also revealed that Mann has a felony warrant out of California. Mann was arrested and booked at the Lake County Jail.
Saturday, July 10 — Deputies responded to a call for a female having a panic attack in the Burger Queen parking lot. Once on scene deputies encountered a hostile male subject who was yelling in the parking lot. The male charged deputies and was detained. The investigation revealed the male subject to be Stephon Hill, who had an out of county warrant for his arrest. Hill was arrested on the warrant.
Saturday, July 10 — Deputies responded to a report of a male in the highway blocking traffic. Upon arrival it was determined Stephon Hill had been in the lane of travel and forced vehicles to take evasive action to avoid hitting him. Hill was arrested and booked at the Lake County Jail.
Sunday, July 11 — Deputies responded to a cyclist in distress call in the mountains above Lakeview. The investigation revealed that a female rider had run out of water and became dizzy while competing in a cross country bicycle race. Members of the Lake County Search and Rescue located the female rider and provide aid.
Monday, July 12 — Deputies investigated a report of an assault between juvenile males in Lakeview. The investigation led to the arrest of a fourteen-year-old male who assaulted a witness to a previous incident involving the suspect. The juvenile suspect was arrested and booked in the Klamath County Juvenile Detention Center.
Monday, July 12 — Deputies responded to a report of a male standing in the highway at south Third and F streets in Lakeview. Upon arrival deputies contacted Stephon Hill. The investigation revealed that Hill stood in the highway and blocked traffic. Deputies arrested Hill for the third time in two days and booked him in the Lake County Jail.
Monday, July 12 — Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on Missouri Avenue in Lakeview. The investigation revealed the driver, William Moody, was driving wile suspended-misdemeanor. Moody was cited in lieu of custody.
Tuesday, July 13 — Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white sedan in Lakeview. The investigation revealed the driver to be Robert Tinker, who is a felon and was in possession of a restricted weapon and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Tinker was arrested and booked into the Lake County Jail.
Wednesday, July 14 — Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of south I street in Lakeview. The investigation revealed Jeanene Kengle assaulted her husband after entering his home. Kengle was arrested and booked in the Lake County Jail for assault.
Saturday, July 17 — Deputies responded to a report of an assault on north L street in Lakeview. An investigation was initiated and revealed a male subject assault his wife and drew a hand gun and pointed it at another male. The suspect was arrested and charged with assault, harassment and unlawful use of a weapon. The suspect was booked into the Lake County Jail.
Saturday, July 17 — Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at 23 S. H St., Lakeview. The investigation revealed Jesse Maninini was intoxicated and shoved Elizabeth Graham, who is the mother of Mainini’s children. Mainini was arrested and booked in the Lake County Jail.
Sunday, July 18 — Deputies responded to a person calling 911 and hanging up. Later in the day the suspect had someone call 911 to ask for a ride. The suspect was contacted, arrested and booked into the jail.
