Sunday, Sept. 19 — Deputies responded to 24 Cedar St., Christmas Valley, regarding an assault. Deputies contacted the female victim who stated that an adult male had grabbed her and threw her to the ground causing her to hit her head on the floor. The victim had multiple bruises, abrasions and scratches on her arms and chest from the assault. After interviewing witnesses, an area check for the male suspect was concluded with negative results. The investigation has been forwarded to the DA’s Office for charging.

Sunday, Sept. 19 — Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle near Padget Rd. and Stock Dr. in Lakeview, the driver was slumped over the steering wheel. When deputies arrived, OSP troopers were already on the scene. The driver was cited for possession of methamphetamine and was released to his wife.

Monday, Sept. 20 — Deputies stopped a silver F-250 driver by a person known to have a suspended license. The female driver was issued a citation for driving while suspended and released to a family member.

Tuesday, Sept. 21 — Deputies were contacted by a school teacher who caught a student vaping in the bathroom. The student was cited for minor in possession of tobacco.

Tuesday, Sept. 21 — Deputies made contact with a female subject in the 1200 block of south I street in Lakeview regarding possible warrants. The female subject had multiple felony warrants out of Lake County and was arrested and booked in the Lake County Jail.

Thursday, Sept. 23 — Deputies contacted Jason Blevins outside of 646 S. G St., Lakeview, in an attempt to take him into custody on outstanding warrants for his arrest. Blevins resisted arrest and struck a deputy in the face. Blevins was tased and taken into custody. He was booked into the Lake County Jail.

Sunday, Sept. 26 — Deputies responded to a report of a domestic incident in Christmas Valley involved a male and a female. Dispatch reported the incident has being verbal only in nature and the male had left the scene as the female called 911. There was no criminal activity regarding this incident.

Monday, Sept. 27 — Deputies responded to the 900 block of south 3rd street in Lakeview regarding a report of a theft. The victim reported that a package had been stolen from her front porch while she was not at home. The suspect was identified as Richard Knox and the case has been referred to the DA’s Office for charging. Knox is still at large. Anyone with information about the location of Knox are encouraged to call 911.

Monday, Sept. 27 — Deputies responded to a call about a theft of a camera from a building located in the 1100 block of Center Street in lakeview. The victim reported someone had stolen a camera from their business when the business was closed. The investigation was ongoing.

Monday, Sept. 27 — Deputies received a report of a stolen rental vehicle from the Lake County Fairgrounds. The vehicle was a 2020 white Ford F150 rented from Enterprise Rent A Car. The vehicle had been taken from the Cougar Peak Fire camp. The keys were left with the vehicle at the time of the theft. The investigation is ongoing.

Monday, Sept. 27 — Deputies responded to a report of a violation of a restraining order in Christmas Valley. The male lives in Pocatello, Idaho, and is the respondent. The investigation has been submitted to the DA’s Office for review.

Tuesday, Sept. 28 — Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of south 4th and G streets in Lakeview. A vehicle was traveling northbound on south G street when it failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a westbound vehicle on south 4th street. One person was taken to the Lake District Hospital and treated for their injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Wednesday, Sept. 29 — Deputies responded to a report of an unattended death in Christmas Valley. The decedent was a 35-year-old female. At the time there does not appear to be evidence of criminal activity. Due to the age of the decedent an autopsy has been scheduled. The investigation is ongoing.

Wednesday, Sept. 29 — Deputies were contacted about a found wallet in the 800 block of south F street in Lakeview. The wallet has been turned to law enforcement where it has been placed into evidence for safekeeping.

Wednesday, Sept. 29 — Deputies contacted a victim of a theft who reported that someone had stolen their 9mm SCCY pistol in Christmas Valley. The pistol was entered into LEDS. The investigation is ongoing.

Wednesday, Sept. 29 — Deputies responded to a 911 report of an alleged assault at 57972 Crack in the Ground Road in Christmas Valley. The investigation revealed the complainant was not assaulted, but had sustained injuries from mishandling a spring-loaded dagger knife with two-sided blade. The investigation led to the complainant being issued a citation in lieu of custody for felon in possession of a restricted weapon. The investigation has been forwarded to the DA for charging.

Friday, Oct. 1 — Deputies were dispatched to a report of a pipe bomb in a storage shed near Point S Tire in Christmas Valley. Oregon State Police Explosives Unit personnel responded and retrieved the explosive device. The investigation is ongoing.

Friday, Oct. 1 — Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 1100 block of south H street in Lakeview. Orie Summers Jr. was observed assaulting his grandfather. Summers was taken into custody and booked in the Lake County Jail.

Saturday, Oct. 2 — Deputies responded to the 1100 block of south F street for a report of a female yelling. When deputies arrived Lana Chemysheff was observed yelling and beating on a door of a residence. Chemysheff was arrested for multiple charges and booked in the Lake County Jail.

Sunday, Oct. 3 — Deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of north K street in Lakeview. The vehicle was taken someone after midnight of the previous night. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys left inside. The investigation is ongoing.

Sunday, Oct. 3 — Deputies responded to a report of Lori Walker walking in the middle of the road near Christmas Valley Hwy and Candy Lane. Walker was arrested on a warrant and disorderly conduct. She was booked into the Lake County Jail.

Tuesday, Oct. 5 — Deputies responded to a multiple vehicle crash near the intersection of south F and Seventh streets. Both drivers and one juvenile passenger were taken to Lake District Hospital. The responsible party was issued multiple citations.

Wednesday, Oct. 6 — Deputies responded to a report of a dog bite on Bark Loop in Christmas Valley. The victim reported being bitten by a neighbor’s dog. The dog’s name is Rusty. Deputies investigated the incident and forwarded the animal bite report to Public Health. The investigation is ongoing.

Thursday, Oct. 7 — Deputies responded to a threat complaint in Christmas Valley where the suspect was threatening to shoot the victim with his bow and arrow. The suspect was reported to be intoxicated and had left his residence on foot, the suspect lived a couple of blocks away from the victim. Deputies contacted the suspect close to the victim’s residence in possession of a bow and arrow. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Lake District Hospital for a mental evaluation.

Sunday, Oct. 10 — Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of north O street in Lakeview. The driver exited his vehicle and ran. Seth Bushey, Canby, Calif., was arrested after a foot pursuit for DUII. Bushey was booked into the Lake County Jail. The investigation has been forwarded to the DA’s Office for charging.
