Lake District Hospital had 9 admissions and 70 total E.R./prescriptive services for the week of Tuesday, June 14 – Monday, June 20. There were 10 total outpatients in OB and surgery, and one birth. Not all names of the patients admitted are released for publication.

Lake County Sheriff’s Report

• Friday, June 10 — Deputies responded to the intersection of Millican Road and Rolfs Point Road due to a report of an ATV striking a street sign and knocking it down. The Road Department was notified to replace the damaged sign.

• Monday, June 13 — Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on Stock Drive west of Roberta Road. David Strout was subsequently arrested on an outstanding Statewide Felony Warrant through Oregon Department of Corrections. Strout was taken to Lake District Hospital and treated for injuries sustained in the crash and later booked into the Lake County Jail.

• Monday, June 13 — Deputies responded to a call regarding a pornographic video being sent via social media to a minor child. Deputies interviewed the mother and obtained a copy of the video. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

• Tuesday, June 14 — Deputies responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle accident. The 19-year-old driver was transported to St. Charles Hospital for medical treatment. On June 15, the investigation revealed the driver was using her cell phone while operating her vehicle and was issued a citation.

• Monday, June 13 — Deputies responded to a driving complaint in the road construction zone in Christmas Valley. The investigation led to a citation for careless driving while being in a construction zone.

• Tuesday, June 14 — Deputies responded to a medical aid incident where a male requested to go to the hospital because he didn't feel safe. The male was transported to the hospital for aid. While at the hospital it was discovered the male had an outstanding warrant out of Deschutes County. Once male was medically cleared by the hospital he was arrested and booked into the Lake County Jail.

• Wednesday, June 15 —  Deputies responded to a report of a domestic incident on North 4th Street. The investigation revealed that Michael Gunter assaulted his girlfriend by kicking her in the shin earlier in the morning. The assault occurred in front of their 13-month-old son who was in the same room. Gunter was arrested for felony assault and booked into the Lake County Jail. DHS was notified due to the child being present during the assault.

• Wednesday, June 15 — Deputies responded to a possible overdose. The investigation revealed that an adult male was attempting to commit suicide with prescribed medication. The male was detained by law enforcement and transported to the hospital where he was treated. Mental Health was also involved in the incident.

• Thursday, June 16 — Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in the 700 block of South 11th Street. After contacting involved parties, it was determined that the subject in question had an active warrant for her arrest. The subject was arrested and booked into the Lake County Jail.

• Friday, June 17 — Deputies contacted Bazelieo Hernandez at the Lake County Courthouse. A warrant check revealed an outstanding arrest warrant from Wasco County. Hernandez was arrested and booked in the Lake County Jail.

• Friday, June 17 — Deputies responded to a report of fraud in the 1000 block of South H Street. The investigation revealed an unknown suspect sent a cellular phone to the residence in the name of the victim in an attempt to gain banking information. The investigation is ongoing.

• Friday, June 17 — Deputies responded to a report of a burglary in the 900 block of North Fourth Street. Danny Larsh and Peggy Randolph reported James Lathers and Shiekay Lathers forced entry by kicking in the front door of the apartment. The investigation revealed the suspects forced entry to settle a verbal dispute between both parties. The investigation has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
