John Dennis Teremy


John Dennis Teremy, 80, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 in Lakeview.

He was born on Nov. 30,Ê1940, in Covington, Ky., to John and Charlotte Boske.

John graduated high school before he joined the Army, where he served for three years. While enlisted he received a Good Conduct Medal, and was honorably discharged. After being discharged, John worked for McDonald Douglas in southern California. He then moved to northern California where he enjoyed his long career of driving school and city buses.

After retirement, John moved to Adel to be closer to family. John enjoyed his retirement spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John also enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, shooting, playing cards and just having a good ole conversation with someone.

John was preceded in death by: his father and mother, John and Charlotte Boske; and brother, Glen Teremy.

He is survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, John and Melody and Joshua and Suse; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Rusty; daughter, Evelyn; grandchildren, John Wesley, Mathew and Cheyenne, Zachary, Bailey and Juan, Kimber, Mekhi, Sidney, Brynn, Alexander and Logan; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Visalia and Melody.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Oct. 24, at 4 p.m. in Adel at the Community Hall. Military Honors will be provided by the VFW and by the United States Army.

The family is asking in lieu of sending flowers, a donation be made to the local Lakeview VFW or Wounded Warrior Project.
