Movement on a new multi-purpose building on the PLAYA Summer Lake campus took a step forward with a $25,000 grant from The Roundhouse Foundation based in Sisters.

In 2020 PLAYA was awarded a $157,000 grant from the Murdock Charitable Trust to build a brand new multi-purpose/open space on the PLAYA campus. According to Carolyn Law, PLAYA Summer Lake board president, the space would be on the south side of the artist residency campus.
