Curbside concessions return to the Alger Theater on Friday, Jan. 14 from 5 – 7 p.m.; even though the front of the theater might look different, the popcorn is hot and the candy is fresh.

This is the first curbside concessions event in 2022 and the first concession event in about a month, before the winter break from school and several storms impacted the area.

The money raised from the curbside concessions helps to support the ongoing renovation and restoration of the historic theater in downtown Lakeview.

Large buckets of popcorn start at $5; other smaller sizes are available if people do not want a gigantic bucket of movie theater popcorn. A wide selection of theater candy will also be available for $3 a box.

The popcorn will be hot and fresh when people stop by. People are encouraged to stop by on their way home so they are ready for movie night.

Movies and other events are currently in the works to return to the Alger Theater, though no date has been announced as of yet.

The Alger Theater is located at 24 S. F St.
